Cabling

Cabling is the process that allows electrical connection from the electrical panel to the various equipment of the workshop.

The industrial cabling consists in electrically connecting the installations of the workshop to the electrical network.

To realize an electrical installation it is necessary to start with the study of the need in order to dimension the network. We then talk about the realization of an electrical diagram. This diagram includes the dimensioning of the wires, i.e. the definition of the section of the electric cables and their length according to the power requirements of the machines and their positioning in the workshop. In the electrical diagram, the positioning and size of the electrical cabinets are also organized. These cabinets are used to manage the workshop's electrical network by means of buttons and lights.

Once the diagram has been drawn up, the various cables must be installed in the workshop and each machine must be connected to the electrical cabinet and the network. To do this, it is necessary to install paths, i.e. metal troughs that will channel all the cables along the walls towards the cabinet. The pulling of wires or cables consists in installing the cables in the paths which form strands. These cables once drawn are connected from the machine to the cabinet to achieve a link or electrical connection. Finally the network is tested and then put into service.

The electrical cabinet can also be made at the electrician's and then connected in the workshop of destination in a second time.

In electrical work it is important to work methodically which allows the safety of the installation but also facilitates its maintenance.

Teams that offer electrical wiring often also offer pneumatic "wiring". This allows compressed air to be distributed in the workshop and to the machines that need it.
